Wang Guangle

This Chinese abstractionist has perfected a technique in which he lays down successive bands of paint, leaving just enough of the bottom layers visible to create the effect of stripes. In one group of canvases they run horizontally across the composition, while in another series, they form concentric rectangles, creating a kind of illusionistic tunnel.
