Time Out says

Art Encounters, a travelling artist's studio and gallery capturing the creative process within repurposed shipping containers, is back with its second edition at the lawn of the Malay Heritage Centre. Titled From Gelam to Glam, the new installation showcases the talent of local multi-disciplinary artist Rizman Putra, a respected figure in the experimental art scene who has been delving in visual arts, performance and music for over a decade. This is held in conjunction with the special exhibition at the Malay Heritage Centre titled Seekor Singa, Seorang Putera dan Sebingkai Cermin: Reflecting and Refracting Singapura

For From Gelam to Glam, Rizman works with UV paint to create a black light drawing installation inspired by the native Gelam tree, which Kampong Glam was named after. By day, you'll see the brightly coloured drawings covering all surfaces of the containers. But when night falls, the installation begins to glow, reflecting Kampong Glam's daily transition from a rich cultural precinct to a buzzing nightlife district. Don't miss the chance to step inside the containers and interact with the work from Fridays to Sundays between 10am to 6pm, and until 8pm on the last Saturdays of the month.
