Time Out says

This March, Arts In Your Neighbourhood (AYN) heads to the Eastern shores of Singapore – this time to Pasir Ris. This edition will take the form of a hybrid format, with a total of ten arts programs including visual arts installations, music performances and multi-disciplinary experiences co-created with a diverse group of artists, art organisations and community partners.

Everyday spaces, void decks, parks and even an iconic shopping mall in Pasir Ris have been transformed into art canvases. Embark on a visual arts walking trail; take part in a digital choose-your-own-adventure story game and see Pasir Ris through a pinhole camera from inside a moving truck.

Want to immerse yourself in the magical world of pinhole photography? Hop into the back of a 14-foot truck converted into a pinhole camera box and immerse yourself in the kaleidoscopic sights and sounds of Pasir Ris with Kotak Foto (Photo Box). Then, visit the pop-up interactive installations at Pasir Ris Park to create your own pinhole images. The programme is produced with lead artist Isabelle Desjeux, music composer Phang Kok Jun and families who reside in Pasir Ris.

A familiar sight to Pasir Ris residents, White Sands Shopping Centre will also be illuminated by a light projection display by SYNDICATE (the same team behind the projection at the Old Airport Road, set to original soundscape compositions by music artists to accompany the projection. A light projection – taking place from 7.45pm to 9.30pm daily from March 18 to 28 – display on the building facade, set to original soundscape compositions by SYNDICATE.

Admission is free for all events, but remember to follow existing safe distancing measures when attending outdoor programmes and practise personal social responsibility. Register here
