The aptly-named Asia-Europe Cultural Festival unites the vibrant art scenes of Asia and Europe. This year's edition, taking place from October 22 to November 1, marks its fifth global instalment and its debut in Singapore.
Dive into a captivating exploration of diverse cultures from Asia and Europe through a spectrum of artistic expressions, including dance, film, theatre, photography, and music, all brought to life by talented artists hailing from Italy, Malaysia, Cambodia, France, Estonia, Japan, and Singapore.
Don't miss the screening of The Perfect Motion, a ballet-themed film directed by the renowned French filmmaker Xavier de Lauzanne, followed by a live performance of Preah Thong Dance. The festival also promises other intriguing acts, such as a multidisciplinary theatre show seamlessly blending movement and video art, transitioning between electronic and classical music and singing to convey a narrative of beauty. Furthermore, a contemporary dance performance, inspired by shamanic traditions and featuring exceptional dancers from Italy and Malaysia, adds to the festival's rich cultural exploration.
