Concrete mixers work harder than we realise – and when there are a dozen of them arranged in a circle, churning debris that’s been gathered from buildings across Singapore, you’re rewarded with a synchronised, rhythmic percussion of booming vibrations. Julius von Bismarck and Julian Charriere invite visitors to consider how everything returns to dust in this installation: debris turns to pebbles, which are ground into clouds of dust. It’s urban decay in the most literal sense.
