Local contemporary artist Goh Beng Kwan is holding a solo exhibition from May 20 to 29. Dubbed #GBK85, the exhibition is set to feature 85 of his artworks that represent 60 years of his artistic career. The ten-day installation will lead visitors through different sections. The first will feature his works from the 1950s to 1970s, where he used Chinese ink techniques and western abstract expression in them. The second section features collage works done in the 1980s, showcasing different styles and materials through world travels for exhibitions and workshops. The third segment shows his works in the 1990s–drawing from his trips around Asia. There’s also a dedicated app that allows you to further engage with Beng Kwan’s work after the exhibition.
