Many striking examples of classical male nudes are housed in some of Europe's most prestigious art institutions, including Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia Gallery of Florence. But what if you can view them differently via untraditional forms? Discover 10 photographic works and 10 sculptures that depict the unclothed male body by Malaysian artists Eiffel Chong and James Seet respectively at Richard Koh Fine Art. In the two-man exhibition, Eiffel negates gendered tropes via his photographic works of young bodies in a state of contemplation and reverie, while James positions his nude sculptures as a celebration of the human form without pretence. Together, the works examine representations of the nude male body in art, and seek to confute the discomfort towards vulnerability in men.
