Joan Cornellà: A Solo Exhibition

Time Out says

Nothing is sacred – or profane – in Joan Cornellà's bizarre world. A well-meaning man donates a condom to a homeless woman saddled with young children; a murderer kills an elderly lady, only to paint her face black and rouse applause from the police; a father administers heroin to his little girl who just lost her balloon. These are just a few surreal, topsy-turvy, carnivalesque tales that the Spanish cartoonist can conjure up in six panels. And guess what: they're coming to a gallery near you.

The man himself will be present at the launch of the exhibition – if you'd like to get up-close and personal with the mind behind such graphic images, you'll need to be among the first 100 to purchase a ticket (it's pay-as-you-wish). This is definitely not for the faint of heart.
