Pakistan-born artist Khadim Ali makes his solo debut in South-East Asia. Inspired by events such as the 2001 Taliban destruction of two Buddha statues in Bamiyan, Afghanistan, to childhood memories of his grandfather reciting the Persian Book of Kings to him, his works’ powerful messages are contrasted with their small sizes.
