Explore the richness of artistic legacies with Art Outreach as they present a re-staging of Tang Da Wu's performance installation, Our Children. This thought-provoking work draws inspiration from a Teochew Chinese opera parable, narrating a young boy's enlightening encounter with a kneeling baby goat and its mother, emphasising values of filial piety and the importance of educating future generations.
During the opening weekend of Singapore Art Week, visitors will be able to witness a dynamic performance show by the artist himself and even contribute to the original 2017 tapestry through embroidery. Complementing this, a curated selection of works from private collections will be on display, centred around themes of tapestry, craft, and parent-child relationships.
