It's no secret that our beloved National Gallery is home to the world's largest collection of Southeast Asian art. What we're hardly made privy to is the process in which these artworks were acquired. That's where (Re)collect: The Making of our Art Collection comes in. The exhibiton takes you through a chronological journey and sheds light on how some of the gallery's most iconic artistic works came to be acquired over the past decades. From paintings and archival documents to a quirky sculptures, the exhibition is as diverse as it is nostalgic.
