Singapore, Very Old Tree

Amid our day-to-day routine, trees may often go unnoticed, but this exhibition will most probably change your perception. Inspired by an old postcard found in the National Archives of Singapore, renowned local multi-disciplinary artist Robert Zhao, who was recently selected to represent Singapore at the 2024 Venice Biennale, unveils 17 captivating images of trees found throughout Singapore. Artfully bringing forth the distinctive narratives behind each tree, the exhibition offers an alternative lens into Singapore's history and reveals the personal connections that Singaporeans share with our local flora.
