Time Out says

Time to add more vibrant hues to those dull days. If you happen to be in Singapore's Civic District – whether you're living within the area or reporting for essential work – feast your eyes on St Andrew's Road, Fullerton Road, Esplanade Drive, Stamford Road, and more as they come to life with Streets of Hope from now until September 1.

As part of the National Arts Council's (NAC) #SGCultureAnywhere campaign, the kaleidoscopic showcase features attention-grabbing banners created and designed by 153 homegrown artists. A first, this massive collective presentation by local artists aims to lift up spirits through creative works of visual art.

Also supported by the Digitalisation Fund, as part of the Arts and Culture Resilience Package, the commissioned project raises the banners to bring together artists across generations, backgrounds and mediums – think print illustrations, Chinese calligraphy, batik painting, mixed media, photography and even performance art. Take a gander at the colourful works by the city's foremost artists including Cultural Medallion recipients Chong Fah Cheong and Milenko Prvacki, Young Artist Award recipients Heman Chong, Bani Haykal and Zul Othman (Zero), and up-and-coming artists Khairullah Rahim and Zen Teh.

Staying true to #SGCultureAnywhere, these artworks can also be viewed online from wherever you are, including the comfort of your bed, via the NAC's Facebook page. Plus, explore the works up-close and get to know Singapore's visual artists via gillmanbarracks.com while you're at it. The full Street of Hope collection, including the complete lineup of artists, is available at the website by the end of June.
