Time Out says

What does it truly mean to be female? This question lies at the heart of Women Reframed, an unconventional exhibition presented by Kult Gallery. This unique showcase delves into the ways femininity has been portrayed in the media and seeks to redefine these stereotypes, offering a fresh perspective on women as a gender and highlighting the genuine nature of women's empowerment. And who better to offer their insights into this exploration than Patricia Salonga and Jo Aguilar, two artists with deep roots in the advertising industry?

Alongside the captivating paintings and illustrations on display, the exhibition also offers interactive activities. Participants can experiment with linocut printmaking by bringing their own tote bags, paper, or shirts for a hands-on creative experience.

Furthermore, Glitter Queen will host a workshop where you can adorn your mirrors however you like with funky accessories, colourful ornaments, and more. There will also be a film screening of the locally-produced movie Love at Fifty, followed by a discussion with the director.

The show is rounded off with a chance to shop – explore a diverse selection of merchandise, prints by the artists themselves, and tongue-in-cheek candles and sanitisers by The Wicker Club. Kult Gallery will also present a carefully curated collection of design books, zines, and journals, all of which have been created by women. This collection provides a glimpse into the rich creativity and diverse perspectives of female creatives.
