Time Out says

A sad goodbye to Jurong Bird Park and an enthusiastic hello to Bird Paradise. This new 17-hectare park is a true wonderland for bird lovers – and if you aren't, it just might make one out of you yet. Its biggest selling point? Eight stunning, walk-through aviaries modelled after the different biomes of the world. Think African rainforests, South African wetlands, and Australian dry eucalypt forests. This is where you can walk among free-flying birds, including some of the world's most threatened species and one of the largest populations of Hornbills under human care.

The new park comes with refreshed programmes too. Visitors are in for a treat at new avian shows like Predators on Wings and Wings of the World, as well as behind-the-scenes tours at the Avian Healthcare and Research Centre and the Avian Breeding and Research Centre (with more to come). Otherwise, get up close with bird friends at special feeding sessions; the $8 fee will go to conservation programmes across the region that are supported by Mandai Wildlife Group.

Tickets are priced at $48 for adults, $33 for children (three to 12 years old), and $20 for senior citizens. The park will be open daily from 9am to 6pm, with the last admission into the park at 5pm.

Easter Eggs-travaganza at Mandai Wildlife Reserve

Mandai Wildlife Reserve comes alive with the Easter celebrations. The month-long festivities kick off with a massive egg hunt at Bird Paradise, where you can join its mascots Al and Min to uncover and collect coloured Easter eggs around the park to earn rewards. The digital version of the Easter Eggs-ploration continues the quest over at Curiosity Cove and Singapore Zoo’s KidzWorld. All you have to do is follow the clues, solve the riddles and complete the adventure for a chance to spin Singapore’s largest Hot Egg Balloon Gachapon and claim goodies. Adding to the celebrations are Easter-themed enrichment activities for the park’s feathered friends, where you can get up close and personal with Gentoo penguins, scarlet macaws and Papuan hornbills. It’ll also be hard to miss the 100 larger-than-life egg installations that are scattered throughout Bird Paradise. The artworks are designed by The Animal Project, a local social enterprise that celebrates artists with special needs. The best part of all? Kids get to enjoy complimentary admission to Bird Paradise with every full-paying adult – just in time for the school holidays.
