River Wonders, formerly known as River Safari, is a captivating river-themed zoo and aquarium situated in Mandai, Singapore, and it is an integral part of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Covering an expansive area of 12 hectares and housing over 11,000 animals, it finds its place between two other renowned counterparts, namely the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari, Singapore.
Mark the 100-day milestone of River Wonders’ capybara newborn Ollie with a month-long birthday festivity that celebrates the pup and his large rodent family. Discover the gentle giants in action over at Amazonia Encounters and experience their quirky personalities first-hand through enrichment sessions with their keepers. Then, watch the herd show off their talent at the Once Upon A River presentation, where you can get the chance to snap pics with the stars themselves. Elsewhere, you can hop on a boat that takes you through the Amazon River Quest, and catch the capybaras relaxing in their natural habitat next to other native South American animals.
Aside from meeting and keeping up with the capy crew, there are also other capybara-themed activities to indulge in. Join in on the Capy Crew Trail, which takes you across River Wonders to learn more about the adorable mammal. Once completed, wind down at Little Chimi’s to redeem yourself a free Capy Ribena Slushie. Also, don’t forget to look out for the different photopoints around the park where you can strike a pose next to giant capybara floats.
