Bae’s Cocktail Club is the kind of place where you can comfortably ease into the night before things crank up a notch. From 6pm, it’s a relatively laid-back scene where guests chat over playful Korean-inspired concoctions such as the makgeolli piña colada slushy, herbaceous soju basil smash, and savoury-spicy kimchi margarita. Arrive straight from work – there are Korean bar bites like beef bulgogi sliders and addictive kimchi bacon fries waiting to line your tummy before you go wild.
Once the clock strikes 11, the atmosphere gets electric, with the space promptly transforming into a club powered by hard-hitting hip-hop and R&B bangers – and it’s these very DJ sets that keep regulars raving for more, despite the venue’s compactness. Still need further convincing? Know that big-name stars like Blackpink’s Lisa, Jay Park, Ne-Yo, Sean Paul and members of K-pop boy group Seventeen have been spotted partying here on various occasions. Wonder who’s next?
Time Out tip: If you like Bae’s, you might also enjoy its sister outlet, Milli, a rooftop bar with hyperlocal food, cocktails, and throwback hits, all with stunning views of Marina Bay Sands and the surrounding cityscape.
