Chris Hemsworth, together with co-stars Charlize Theron and Jessica Chastain, are attending the red carpet premiere for The Huntsman: Winter’s War, while Chris Evans and his entourage of superheroes are taking over Marina Bay Sands for the Captain America: Civil War blue carpet event. Secure your spot
Recce or research the event location to suss out the best vantage points or positions to stand at so that you’re in close proximity to the stars to get either an autograph, a wefie or at least a brief handshake. Evans and his Avengers will be at the MBS ice skating rink, while Hemsworth and his fairy tale posse will rock up to the Pantages Hollywood Theater, in the Hollywood zone of Universal Studios Singapore.
Strategise on how to get noticed
In a sea of a hundreds of screaming fans, it’s best to ensure you stand out from the crowd. Plan your attire around bright clothing or, better yet, cosplay a character from the movie. And although ‘marry me’ signs are so last year, we can’t deny that handmade fan boards like those will surely grab the attention of your favourite star. We suggest going with an element of surprise and be slightly creative with your sign boards. 'God hates super soldiers', anyone?
Be at the event early
Depending on how kiasu – sorry, we mean 'enthusiastic' – you are, get to the event venue at least 2 hours (or better yet, when it opens) in advance. Have a friend tag along to keep you company and keep your place when you need toilet breaks.
