Your shopping roundup for the month
In honour of the late and great sculptor Harry Bertoia, furniture brand Knoll updates the classic Bertoia Diamond Chair. The glossy piece, finished with an 18-karat gold plate, is made from beryllium, Bertoia’s choice material for sculpting, and emulates the Sonambient (‘sound sculptures’) works the designer is best known for.
BAPE (that’s ‘A Bathing Ape’, for the uninitiated) is at it again, stocking its AAPE diffusion line with slouchy jersey tees and slick hooded jackets. The collection comprises three styles: Black City bears a monochrome palette; Desert Army carries earthy tones and lots of camo; and AAPE Sport pays homage to Americana with tennis apparel.
The UK institution teams up with the Japanese casual wear behemoth to serve up a second collection of floral lashings of fuschia, electric blue, soft purple, and grey stamped onto basics. There are maxi dresses, onesies, graphic tees, and toned-down paisley print shirts for the guys.
The British style icon – she’s held the title for three consecutive years at the British Fashion Awards – breathes new life into womenswear pieces from Marks and Spencer’s archives. Each piece is quintessentially Chung, like the white shirt accented with bold ruffles, the structured wide leg pants, and a relaxed, oversized trench coat.
