The trend of places opening just off the beaten path continues with Cicada, a quiet, no-frills restobar nestled at the end of a long, winding road. The sister establishment of Hacienda, this feels like the shyer sibling who doesn’t care for pomp and pageantry. Instead, it opts for soft music and lighting in its alfresco area that’s minimalist (some might say ‘spartan’) with a few tables, booths and, thankfully, a large fan. Expect a large variety of martinis and a decent selection of house wines that start from $8 a glass. Note: Be sure to have the taxi company’s number on speed-dial or getting out of this rural spot will be a pain.
