Inspired by global clubbing hotspot Ibiza, Mambo Beach Club (which opened late last year) is throwing a huge party for all you beach lovers to dance the night away. Feel the sun slip under the horizon as day turns into night, then grab a drink and groove along to the sounds of Latino-Swiss DJ Santiago Cortés, the super talented music-maker who has played at legendary clubs all over the world, including the award-winning Amnesia Ibiza, Hollywood’s Avalon and Club Neo in Tokyo. With more than 150 productions, including smash hits like ‘Don’t Leave Me’ and ‘If You Wanna Dance’, as well as tracks from his 2012 EP One Way to Ibiza, you can expect to get hot and heavy on the dance floor to his brand of pumping house and techno beats.
Also in the line-up are Icelandic DJ Newklear (an up-and-coming talent who’s released numerous mash-ups of top songs like Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’), CC Sound Factory (a Singapore-born New York-based DJ/producer/singer who relishes experimenting with electronica, indie, dance and rock), and UK DJ/producer Sonny Wharton, who’s known for his hit remixes and charttopping tune ‘Runnin’ in 2012.
Plus, look out for local talents like Zig Zach – the Muay Thai fighter by day and highly sought-after DJ by night – as he whips up a funky mix of deep house, nu-disco, tech-house and minimal, and DJ/singer TINC, a relative newcomer (she’s been DJ-ing only for a year) and current student of Lasalle College of the Arts who’s been in several local bands and is already making a splash in the nightlife scene. Along with entertainers like Zeles on the electric drums and Elizabeth on vocals from Amnesia Ibiza, as well as sexy go-go dancers, the all-night rave looks set to propel you to the stratospheric heights of Ibiza-style partying.
