Indian dancers Navtej Johar and Lokesh Bharadwaj explore the emotions of love and hate through the dance forms of Bharatanatyam, devadasis and tawaifs. The plot is loosely based on The Maids by French dramatist Jean Genet, in which two servants conduct sadomasochistic role-playing while their mistress was away.
