The Projector is screening Hirokazu Kore-eda's family drama After the Storm. The film follows Ryota Shinoda (Hiroshi Abe), a private detective who was a prize-winning author in his heyday, as he gambles away his earnings and fails to provide for his family. As Shinoda struggles to overcome his misgivings and yearns to be involved in his son's life, a typhoon offers him a chance of reconciliation with his immediate family, who've grown distrustful of his actions.
