Indie cinema, The Projector, gets musical from Jan 31-Feb 8 with a series of influential movies about bands. Relive the '60s with two shows about the Beatles: Yellow Submarine and A Hard Day's Night. Things take a wacky turn with This is Spinal Tap, a rock 'n' roll mockumentary about a fictional British heavy metal outfit. Representing Pink Floyd is musical film The Wall, a rich tapestry of imagery and metaphors set to the band's tunes.
Sharing the limelight is Singapore's very own The Observatory. Yeo Siew Hua's documentary on the group, The Obs: A Singapore Story, is timed to premiere during this week-long event. And if you're the spontaneous type, head down on Feb 5 for the screening of a mystery music-themed film.
