Time Out says

Find out what lies between the material world of things and the immaterial world of effects, and delve deeper with Immaterial Bodies. The eye-opening exhibition takes over the space of Objectifs' Chapel Gallery from September 3 to feed curious minds with the new possibilities and ideas for existence and relationships in the future, especially in a world that has been rocked by the pandemic.

The exhibition spotlights thought-provoking works created by four local artists – ila, Wayne Lim, Weixin Quek Chong, and Denise Yap – using different lens-based mediums. These moving-image works and audiovisual installations take you through the links between bodies and four domains including the shifting urban landscape, systems of control, post-human transformations, and alternative kinships.

Beyond the physical exhibition, check out the accompanying microsite which features interactive content including a guided exhibition walkthrough, digital extensions of some of the works in the exhibition, curatorial essays, and an educational guide comprising a glossary and guiding questions.
It's launched to enhance the experience of the physical exhibition and engagement with the issues raised.

Curated by Seet Yun Teng, the recipient of Objectifs' Curator Open Call, the exhibition is part of Objectifs’ ongoing effort to broaden perspectives by supporting curatorial research and presenting image-based work in various innovative ways. This year marks the programme’s second edition.

Want an in-depth tour of the exhibition? Curious creatures can register online for a guided tour led by the curator and the four artists on September 3 from 7.30pm to 8pm, and 8.30pm to 9pm. Each session is limited to eight participants due to safety measures. For more information on the tours, as well as the exhibition and the accompanying microsite, visit objectifs.com.sg/immaterial-bodies.
