Time Out says

The Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) is back this year, this time with free community screenings in the heartlands. These meaningful and insightful flicks capture the rich lives of persons with disabilities and celebrate their gifts and abilities through film.

Over two Sundays this September, head down to Wisma Geylang Serai (September 3) and Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre (September 10) to catch Inseparable Bros and The Reason I Jump. The first is a light-hearted South Korean drama that follows two non-biological but inseparable brothers who are on a mission to keep their assisted living facility from shutting down. With Se-Ha as the brain and Dong-Goo as the brawn, the pair will amaze you with their complementary talents and unshakeable bond.

Meanwhile, The Reason I Jump is an immersive cinematic experience based on the best-selling book by Naoki Higashia. Step into the lives of five non-speaking autistic people around the world and get an intimate look into their everyday lives. Passages from Higashida's book are weaved in with images of a young Japanese boy on a journey through a vast landscape – deftly translating the richness and vibrancy of the autistic lived experience to the screen.

The MINDS Film Festival community screenings are free of charge and seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Visit mindsfilmfest.com for more information.
