Braving the long queues in Singapore's CBD is no easy feat – you'd need plenty of patience to wait in line for your favourite ayam penyet or nasi lemak. But there's no need to put yourself through the hassle when you can simply order affordable meals straight to your office desk.

Most of us are deterred by the delivery fees, especially during peak hours, but food delivery platform foodpanda has a special promo this March: a $1.99 delivery fee*. From Taiwanese fried chicken to bubble tea, here are 15 affordable meal options to conveniently order in this month. Make sure to also read to the end for special foodpanda promos.

Affordable food delivery in the CBD

1. Koi Thé: In a bubble tea-crazed country, Koi Thé is one of the original names that started it all. While they do do classic milk teas, they also have other flavours such as hazelnut, honey, ovaltine, and cacao barry. A regular-sized drink starts from $3.70.

2. 4Fingers Crispy Chicken: It's a mid-day treat when you're feasting on wingettes and drumettes. Order the Extra Signature Mix Combo (from $15.40), so you get the best of both worlds – five boneless chicken bites, five signature wingettes and drumettes, along with a side of fries and a drink.

3. Crave: Known for their use of long-grain basmati rice, Crave serves up a quality box of nasi lemak (from $6.90). Choose to add on extra protein with the likes of chicken cutlet ($3.50), beef rendang ($7.50), and curry chicken ($6.50).

4. Burger King: Sink your teeth into one of Burger King's juicy burgers. The Double Whopper Meal (from $15.60) has two flame-grilled beef patties, layered with fresh veggies and a creamy mayo.

5. Ayam Penyet President: For smashed fried chicken, Ayam Penyet President is an easy go-to. Here, it's the signature ayam penyet (from $8.50) that's won many over with its crispy goodness. Add on a gado-gado ($7.50) to also hit your daily veg intake.

6. Canadian Pizza: They don't shirk from big flavours over here. Try the butter chicken pizza (from $21.25) or the Singapura Special (from $21.25) that comes with spicy chicken, garlic and red chilli.

7 Chicha San Chen: When the craving hits, you'll want a satisfying bubble tea at hand. The fresh milk tea starts from $6.50, and you'll want to add on toppings for $1 including bubbles (pearls), grass jelly, and coconut jelly.

8. Lao Huo Tang Restaurant: For comforting Chinese fare, try one of their many soup options. The ABC soup (from $14.80) is a well-loved classic with potatoes, carrots, and tomatoes while the lotus root soup (from $14.80) comes with tender pork ribs. The restaurant also offers various other dishes, from seafood hor fun ($18.80) to steamed egg ($12.80).

9. Long John Silver's: Dishing out some of the country's most reliable fish and chips, Long John Silver's is a favourite of many. Go with the classic combo of rockfish, chicken, and shrimp (from $15.90). It's a tasty mix of land and sea.

10. Pizza Hut: There's nothing better to share than a piping hot pizza and you can do just that with a regular pizza (from $23.70) from Pizza Hut. Choose from flavours like Very Beefy, Simply Cheese, and Cheese ‘N’ Chic. If you want it all to yourself, you can also opt for a personal pizza (from $12.10).

11. BreadTalk: Everyone has a favourite bun from this homegrown bakery. Whether it's the Curry Chic ($2.40) that's filled generously with curry chicken or the cranberry cream cheese bun, their variety of bakes will get you through a hectic work day.

12. I Love Taimei: Taiwanese fried chicken is always a winner. Order the bento set (from $12.80) that comes with extra crispy chicken and an oozy lava egg. Add on the sweet potato fries ($5.40) for a satisfying meal.

13. Fish & Co: Treat yourself to golden battered fish and chips. A classic starts from $25.12, but you can also choose options that are inspired by various countries: Singapore Fish & Chips ($25.12) which comes with a side of chilli crab sauce or New York Fish & Chips ($26.32) for a cheese-stuffed fish.
