The Children’s Technology Workshop offers hands-on courses for children that are buckets of fun. Self-proclaimed tech geek and proud parent Darryl Reiter set up the school in Canada in 1997, after years of teaching. Staying true to its motto – ‘explore. invent. create.’– the centre lets bright young sparks dabble in technical work, from robotics to video-game design to programming. Eager teachers – most have a science or engineering background – are on hand to guide rather than instruct. There’s no memorising here, just pure understanding by exploring.
