From dancing and singing to acting, young’uns get to practice and find out more about the different facets of a Broadway performance at Singtheatre’s holiday workshop. The classes here focus on developing each child’s ability to create and also encourage teamwork. Students are taught how to properly warm up their vocals, various breathing and relaxation exercises, and the art of improv.

What does it mean to face your fears? With the help of animated character Chicken Little, kids can discover the importance of being brave by engaging in a slew of dance, music, arts and craft activities over five days. Coached by professionals, the little ones get to practice theatre techniques that help build confidence and improve their communication skills. Tickets to SRT’s staging of Chicken Little’s tale of courage at the theatre are also included in the workshop.

Calling all junior Sinbads and Aladdins! Presenting the classic tales of the Arabian Nights, this series of holiday workshops run by drama academy ACT 3 let the little ones embark on a magical voyage as they step into the shoes of their favourite heroes through song and dance. Kids are taught teamwork, miming and stage improvisational skills. Parents can join in on the fun too. Sign up for A Pirate’s Life for Me with the kiddos and roleplay as ‘parrot assistants’ next to your adorable mini buccaneers.

Let the tykes embrace their inner theatre geeks with Buds Theatre’s intensive weekly drama camps. Budding playwrights, actors and set designers learn the ropes of theatre production. Kids also get the chance to write their own scripts, design props and costumes, and put together an original musical play, which they proudly get to perform and showcase in front of their family and friends by the end of the programme.
