Time Out says

There's a new children's festival marching your way. From March 10 to 14, pull the kids off the screens and make it a fun family day out to Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay for the inaugural edition of March On. The brand new multi-disciplinary, participatory festival features music, dance and theatre for kids aged 12 and below. Not just for the young, the young-at-heart are more than welcome to join in the fun too.

Children can look forward to specially curated free and ticketed programmes that highlight the issues facing the young of today, while placing them squarely at the centre of the creative process. One such programmes include The Feelings Farm which uses music, movement, poetry and multimedia to help kids navigate emotions both big and small, and understand them with compassion.

If your little ones can't resist a mini costume party, dress 'em up for Alice’s Topsy Turvy Tea Party. The picnic-style interactive dance experience explores questions of friendship and belonging. Otherwise, follow The Rattle King on his journey to rediscovery. This musical celebration of empathy, harmony and cacophony stars an impressive 4.5-metre giant puppet as the titular character.

The children-centric festival also brings together arts practitioners to create exciting new work for its young audiences to partake. There are also panel discussions and talks for kids, parents and artists to be inspired and engage in meaningful conversations. For more information, visit esplanade.com/marchon.
