Things are about to get more colourful – and way pinkier – as June marks Pride Month. And while we lack in the bright and bold parades à la New York's, we make up with a celebration that's a whiter shade of love red – cue events like Pink Dot and Pink Fest. Not only do these local events champion the LGBTQ+ community in Singapore, but they also celebrate the freedom to love and promote a more inclusive Singapore.
This year, Pink Fest returns from June 1 to 30 with over 60 activities to take part in, from fitness classes to LGBTQ+-led panel discussions. Mark your calendar with your best pink marker for crowd favourites such as Queer Trivia Night with Preetipls and Pasar Pink. Other highlights include a new cabaret The Fruit Basket: Grand Openings, Pinki Kiki Ball, Yum Yum Pink Pride Disco Party, plus more workshops, classes and art exhibitions.
And for some serious biz, don't miss out on the plethora of talks and panel discussions that will help you navigate through the murky waters of housing, career, mental health, family, and more – weighty topics that are good to gain insight on to survive and thrive.
Now that we can gather and celebrate without restrictions, Pink Fest and Pride Month are looking to be full of joy and rainbows. To get yourself hyped up for the flood of events coming up, check out pinkfest.sg and follow the festival's Facebook and Instagram for more updates.
