For the first time, Kodaly Academy of Music (Singapore) (KAM) is hosting the biennial Asia Kodaly Symposium (AKS) in Singapore. The event this year is held entirely online, but brings a similarly exciting line-up of hands-on workshops and presentations by an international panel of educators and musicians.
In a nod to these changing times, the theme this year is Digitalisation of Music Education, Composition and Performance; music educators, conductors and students can expect over 30 hours of ‘live’ workshops, panels and lectures covering the central philosophy of the Kodaly Concept, composition and conducting, digital tools, voice and piano pedagogy, and other ideas to help tackle the challenges of a post-pandemic world. Registration ends August 14 with regular tickets going at $250 per person.
