Time Out says
Taiwanese indie folk singer-songwriter Deserts Xuan (Zhang Xuan) takes her heartfelt and earnest sounds to local audiences. Working on her craft since a tender age of 13 years old, Xuan first took to the stage at 16 in Taipei's live music venues and pubs, and had written over 100 songs by the time she inked her first contract with Sony BMG at the age of 19. Since then, her cred has only grown with the release of an EP and four albums, and nominations at various Chinese music awards for her albums and songwriting.
