Flock to the Botanic Gardens for its SG50 Carnival, where nostalgia’s the name of the game – so expect activities and stalls that hark back to a rose-tinted version of our history. There are also a bunch of concerts by the lake. And if you stay after the sun sets, the lovely folks at NParks are putting out outdoor movie screenings of It's a Great Great World and Singapore Dreaming.
