Time Out says

There’s always a good reason to immerse yourself in world-class classical music. This July, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra launches an exciting new chapter with the inauguration of Music Director Hannu Lintu, ushering in the 2026/27 season with a stellar line-up of performances that deserve a spot on your cultural calendar.

From July 10 to 12 at Victoria Concert Hall, internationally acclaimed violinist Gil Shaham joins pianist Akira Eguchi for a rare presentation of Beethoven's complete violin sonatas. Across three concerts, you'll journey through the composer's evolution, from youthful exuberance to mature brilliance, in some of chamber music's most beloved works.

Then head to the Esplanade Concert Hall for the Hannu Lintu Inaugural Series with the SSO. On July 17 and 18, experience Gil Shaham once again as he takes on Mason Bates's mysterious and soulful Nomad Concerto, before the evening culminates in Mahler's towering Fifth Symphony. The season continues on July 24 with Strauss's breathtaking Also sprach Zarathustra and Bartók's darkly captivating Bluebeard's Castle.

Tickets start from just $15, with selected concerts eligible for SG Culture Pass redemption. Enjoy 25 percent off when you purchase a 4-Concert Bundle, or 20 percent off for the 2-3 Concert Bundle, with a minimum purchase of one ticket from selected concerts. Get yours here.
