Time Out says

Around the world, music festivals, concerts, and events are forced to cancel or postpone due to the evolving crisis. While the hopes of witnessing your favourite artist or band live onstage are crushed, musicians and event organisers are coming up with innovative, alternative ways to bring the show to your living room. And mega EDM festivals are no different.

Tomorrowland Around the World brings the digital version of the electronic dance music blowout – complete with EDM giants, 3D design, gaming and special effects – to the cyberspace on July 25 and 26. Spanning genres from trance to hardstyle, house to dubstep and future bass, the star-studded lineup is nothing short of stellar. Expect industry heavyweights like Afrojack, Alan Walker, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Don Diablo, Kölsch, Lost Frequencies, Martin Garrix, Nervo, Steve Aoki, Tiësto, and Timmy Trumpet.

The mega Belgian festival was originally scheduled to crank up the volume on the weekends of July 17 to 19, and 24 to 26, before announcing its postponement to July 16 to 18 and July 23 to 25, 2021. But instead of depriving EDM fans of the festival experience, the brains behind the festival decided to re-invent it by making it accessible to everyone via Tomorrowland’s website with a PC, laptop, smartphone, or tablet.

"Tomorrowland Around the World is the result of a gigantic team effort of hundreds of people who are working around the clock to create a never-before-seen interactive entertainment experience," says Michiel Beers, co-founder of Tomorrowland. "Since we started this project and all ideas came together, we immediately felt enormous energy and lots of positivity from everybody involved. For us, it’s a bit re-inventing the festival experience, but we truly believe that we can bring the spirit of Tomorrowland and entertainment at the highest level to people and homes around the globe.”

Similar to the real deal, the festival features eight different stages in total, set ablaze by the speaker-pumping bangers from the biggest names in EDM as well as the usual Tomorrowland bang – fireworks and laser shows included. Look out for this year's iconic Mainstage which embodies the theme of 2020: The Reflection of Love – Chapter 1. There are also various interactive experiences including inspirational webinars, games, and workshops related to lifestyle, food, fashion, and the Tomorrowland Foundation to take part.
