As crazy as it sounds, we are approaching the end of the year. And that can only mean one thing – Christmas. This year, Singapore is going all out with Christmas Together, a sprawling 70,000-square-foot Christmas village taking over Marina Bay Sands for one very festive weekend.
Happening from November 27 to 29, the market will transform Hall F into a giant festive playground packed with shopping, workshops, performances, games and plenty of things to keep the kids occupied.
The three-day event will feature 18 signature experiences, more than 150 brands, 50 live performances, and 40 workshops to work your way through, with activities ranging from making your own Christmas keepsakes to games, rides, and food.
And most of you will be delighted to know this – half of the village will be dedicated to retail therapy. Expect a Christmas market featuring a wide mix of fashion, beauty, homeware, food and gifts, including Singapore-inspired finds, personalised pieces, artisan-made goods and more festive treats for holiday gifting.
Kids will get their fair share of jolly fun too – personalise a bear at the Kindness Bear House, send a letter from Santa’s Post Office, hop aboard The Christmas Cookie Kombi or burn off some sugar at The Village Carnival and The Good Game.
More importantly, the event is built around giving back. This year’s edition supports Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts, with proceeds from various experiences going towards the cause. There’s even a way for children to get involved through KIDSforKIDS. Budding young entrepreneurs can sign up to create something to make, sell or share, set up their own little shop at the festival and raise funds for children in need. Entry to Christmas Together is free. You can walk in on the day, or register in advance to avoid the long queues.
