As the Chinese New Year festivities come to a close, all the lovely decorations will soon be taken down. And guess what – you will be able to adopt any lantern of your choice for free with the Chinatown Festival Committee’s returning Adopt-a-Lantern initiative.

The lanterns available for adoption include diverse dragon overhangs, "吉祥" (auspicious) ingots, LED fireworks, spirited dances, traditional blessings, and even the viral centrepiece of this year’s celebration – the majestic dragon.

For those interested, simply submit your application and preferred choice of lanterns via here from February 22 to March 1, 2024. Successful applicants will be notified with more details by March 11, 2024.
