The story behind your favourite home-cooked dish could win you a new Thermomix TM7 and $2,000 cash

Every family has that one best-kept recipe. The generational one that's never written down because it's measured in handfuls, instinct and years of practice. Or maybe it’s the bowl of noodles that fixes a bad day, or the first meal you mastered after moving into your own place. Whatever it is, chances are it's more than just a recipe. It's a story.
That's exactly what the inaugural Thermomix TasteMaster Cook-Off 2026 is celebrating. Instead of asking who's the best cook, this new experience is all about the dishes that have shaped our lives, from treasured family recipes and nostalgic comfort food to weeknight staples that have become traditions in their own right – chef’s kiss.
Joining in couldn't be easier. You don’t even need to own a Thermomix. Simply share a dish you love cooking, tell us the story behind it, and upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #ThermomixTasteMastersSG and tag @thermomixsingaporeofficial by July 26. The first 100 submissions will receive an exclusive Thermomix tote bag.
The most compelling submissions will be shortlisted for the next stage of the journey, leading up to a live TasteMaster Cook-Off finale at Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) on August 15. And don't let the thought of a live cook-off put you off – shortlisted participants will receive guidance along the way, making the experience approachable whether you've been cooking for years or are just getting started.
The finalists will be cooking for an impressive panel of judges, including celebrated pastry chef Janice Wong, Bakeomaniac founder Javier Tan, food creator Lennard Yeong, and Vorwerk Singapore and Malaysia's Christine Wong. The grand prize is a brand-new Thermomix TM7 and $2,000 in cash, while the remaining finalists will each walk away with $500 in cash.
Even if you're not planning to submit an entry, there's still plenty to look forward to. Swing by Paya Lebar Quarter from August 10 to 15 for live activations and cooking demonstrations, then come back on August 15 to cheer on the finalists as they bring their dishes and stories to life at the grand finale.
After all, the recipes we treasure most aren't always the fanciest ones. They're the ones that remind us of where we've come from, the people we've shared them with, and why some meals deserve to be made again and again. Find out more here.
