Meow is the moment – Cats the musical is clawing its way back into town this October, landing at Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands for a limited run.

Presented by Base Entertainment Asia alongside GWB Entertainment and LW Entertainment, the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic marks yet another return to local shores, following seasons in 2015 and 2019. If you’ve somehow missed it over the past four decades, this is your sign to finally catch up.

Cats is one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history, having recorded nearly 9,000 performances in London and an 18-year Broadway run. Since its 1981 debut, it has toured over 30 countries, been translated into 15 languages, and has been seen by more than 73 million people worldwide.

Set inside an oversized junkyard, Cats invites audiences into the annual Jellicle Ball – one special night where a group of feline characters step forward to tell their stories. You’ll meet the flashy Rum Tum Tugger, the mysterious Mr. Mistoffelees, the villainous Macavity and, of course, Grizabella, whose heartbreak anthem Memory remains musical theatre’s most reliable tearjerker.

Tickets aren’t on general sale just yet, but the waitlist is now open until February 8, 11.59pm. Priority and pre-sale will commence shortly after, with early bird discounts and UOB cardholder perks to look forward to.
