‘Tis the season to go shopping and snappin'. Usher in the most wonderful time, and also the most Instagrammable time of the year by heading to these shopping malls that took great lengths to deck its halls in festive cheer. We brave the crowds of Orchard Road to bring you some of the most photogenic malls in town.

Orchard Gateway
A personal favourite, Orchard Gateway has always been a little more extra when it comes to decorations. We'll always be nostalgic for the wacky Under The Sea theme from a few years back but Orchard Gateway surprised us with an elegant understated White Christmas theme last year. This year it's still classic and simple – sticking to a frosty theme, with penguins and all. Fun fact: you cannot find penguins in the North Pole.

Orchard Central
Keeping it classic, Orchard Central is all about having a good ol' traditional red and green Christmas. Expect bells, stockings, candy canes, mistletoe and lots of photo opportunities inside and around the mall.

Somerset 313
Going non-Christmassy but glittery is Somerset 313's festive decor. Coincidentally, the mall is also celebrating its 10th anniversary so instead of large Christmas trees, you'll find lots of pink and pastel cake and dessert-themed decorations. It's still pretty enough to get into the festive and shopping mood.

Wheelock Place
With Ngee Ann City and Wisma Atria going low-key with its decorations, it's up to the surrounding malls to liven it up a bit. Taking on the theme of Bohemian Rhapsody, stop to take a picture at the dramatic gazebo at the entrance of Wheelock Place.

ION Orchard
IOM Orchard never shies away from pulling out all the stops during the festive period. This year, you can find two giant glittery snakes, courtesy of Bvlgari outside the mall. Majestic as it is, there's also a beautiful pink Christmas that will look pretty in your pictures. Inside the mall, Christmas is also in full swing with mistletoe, wreaths and ribbons all around to remind you to shop, shop, shop.

Mandarin Gallery
There's something quite tropical about the red Christmas flower lights at Mandarin Gallery which really suits the vibes of Christmas in Singapore. Vibrant yet simple, there are many spots for people to take their photos with the decorations outside the mall.

Wisma Atria
Sweet and traditional, spot the light installation at Wisma Atria of the fairy tale book and some white rabbits. Though way more low-key than the likes of ION and Mandarin Gallery, it's still a nice festive addition to Orchard Road.
