Early birds at Curiosity Cove or any of the five wildlife parks will earn themselves a gold coin embossed with this year’s zodiac critter

Forget the usual red lanterns and firecrackers – Mandai Wildlife Reserve is going full gallop this Lunar New Year, and you’re invited. From February 17 to March 3, both sides of Mandai Wildlife (East and West) will host festive decorations, themed animal encounters, and interactive exhibits across the parks.
Think giant topiaries, glittering gold coins, and digital gamified walking trails. What’s more – the first 188 early birds at Curiosity Cove, or any of the five wildlife parks (Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise, and Rainforest Wild Asia) will also be able to snag a limited-edition gold coin embossed with this year’s zodiac critter.
Start your day at Mandai with ‘Breakfast in the Wild,’ where you’ll get to fill up on hearty meals while enjoying up-close animal encounters. Expect special appearances from orangutans, African penguins, and Bengal eagle owls, and participate in the all-new ‘Hello from the Wild: Horse’ experience, where keepers let visitors get cosy with ponies and falabellas.
At ‘Wild Africa’, watch the majestic and endangered Grévy’s zebras explore themed enrichment activities. Bonus: keep an eye out for an adorable three-month-old female foal.
Afterwards, hop on the Horse-picious digital trails via the Mandai App. Solve clues, learn quirky animal facts, and discover the park’s star animals. Once you complete the trail, don’t forget to claim your limited-edition keychain. Kids can also join Ranger Buddies mascots Al and Min for “Huat’s Up Ranger Buddies”, featuring craft workshops and mission kit discounts at the zoo.
Mandai’s retail spots will also be packed with tangerine-hued bags, plantable red packets, and all sorts of festive goodies that grow into flowers or herbs.
Time Out tip for locals: WildPass holders enjoy year-round discounts across the parks, a free entry for a friend on their birthday, and all the perks of being a wildlife VIP.
