The stylish space is also the perfect hangout for music enthusiasts to kick back and relax over some food and drinks, browse through an endless list of records, catch DJs and live acts.
After five years of sharing their immense passion for music in the iconic forms of vinyl records through the social e-commerce platform #vinyloftheday, founders Kurt Loy and Darren Tan will be taking the plunge with the launch of their first brick-and-mortar venture. Created for the music community to cultivate and grow their love for music, they hope that “this will be a place where music lovers can discover both new music and new people.” as Darren Tan says.
Apart from the usual current selection of records and key highlights from various eras, #vinyloftheday devotees can also look forward to a carefully curated range of local and regional record offerings available here on a rotational basis.
With warm-toned lighting illuminating the entire space, potted greens, marble floor panels and a miscellany of picture frames, this laid-back and casually styled space creates an inviting vibe from the moment you enter the store. Hidden in plain sight above the stereo systems lies a booth for live music events and special music-themed nights showcasing vinyl records from the founders’ personal collections.
Previously from Craft, Shanghai, White Label’s resident bartender Jerrica Lee’s expertise in fresh ingredients and vodka drinks are influential in the drinks menu. White Label’s signature cocktails include a Vodka-based fresh fruit Mojito, White Label’s tea-based rendition of Long Island, and exclusive offerings such as a Chrysanthemum vodka martini. The all-day menu will also feature a selection of cold brews, mixed drinks, craft beers, and bar bites, along with limited lunch sets at midday.
