Ice Magic: Winter Wonderland got a nice glow up for its return during 2023’s Christmas period, with a new eight-metre merry-go-round on ice and double-lane ice slides, but things have gotten even more exciting, particularly for paw-rents. The enchanting wintry pop-up is now welcoming canine guests with Four Paws @ Ice Magic – a special dog-friendly event held over two weekends this January 2024.

Though travelling abroad for a snowy vacation with a pet is a near impossible task, Four Paws @ Ice Magic is your rare chance to frolic in real snow with your furkid, and have fun together on ice slides, snow slopes, and a merry-go-round. You’ll also be able to get some precious winter wonderland snapshots with your dog, thanks to numerous photo spots like cosy wooden cottages, illuminated ice sculptures, and an igloo.

Do note that all dogs have to be leashed and supervised at all times, and each dog must be accompanied by at least one adult. Big dogs weighing above eight kilogrammes will not be able to ride the double-lane ice slides and snow slopes. For hygiene reasons, all dogs will need to wear diapers or belly bands, and those displaying signs of illness will not be permitted to enter.

Tips for bringing your dog to Ice Magic:

  • Ice Magic has sub-zero temperatures of around -15 degrees celsius, so do dress your dog in appropriate pet clothing like insulated jackets and dog shoes.

  • Smaller dogs and those with single layer coats of fur will require more protection from the cold.

  • Sessions typically last for 2 hours 45 minutes, however, Ice Magic strongly recommends dog owners to keep their playtime to around 45 minutes, depending on their pet’s level of comfort and ability to withstand the cold.

  • Some larger dog breeds like Huskies, Chow Chows, and German Shepherds are native to cold climates, so they’ll probably fare better in the snow. That said, your pet might already be accustomed to Singapore’s hot and humid weather, so it’ll still be best to clothe it suitably for the event.

Tickets for Four Paws @ Ice Magic are available for purchase via Peatix and Matchtic, with various time slots held on selected dates of January 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2024. Sessions for large dogs and small dogs will be held separately. If you don’t have a pet to bring along, you are still welcome at the aforementioned dog-friendly sessions, and can book your tickets via Sistic. Those with a fear of dogs should avoid these dates.
