The annual street food and music festival is back from April 10 to 12 with merengue, samba, ceviche, and plenty of arepas

Latin America is taking over Dempsey Hill for three days in April, and it’s bringing the whole continent with it. Latinada, an annual street food and music festival from chefs Daniel and Tamara Chavez, returns from April 10 to 12 with 14 chefs, live DJs, and activities for the whole family.
The food line-up alone is worth showing up for. 14 chefs will be whipping up regional specialities from Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, and Cuba. That means fresh ceviche, hefty Cuban sandwiches, sizzling paellas, stuffed arepas, and nicely-charred quesadillas. There will be cocktails to pair, all leaning on Latin spirits like rum, mezcal and pisco.
If you love to dance, then you’ll be glad to know that this festival is running music and dance programming all three days. It’s all about the rhythm with Dominican merengue, Afro-Peruvian percussion, Brazilian samba, and DJs repping Colombia and Mexico. For the kids: fun Zumba sessions that will surely tire them out.
Tickets are priced at $40 for adults (includes a $20 redeemable voucher) and $10 for kids under 12. They can be purchased in advance here or at the door itself.
