The macarons have reclaimed Orchard Road iconic Parisian patisserie Ladurée has staged a rather chic comeback. Six years after disappearing from Singapore’s dessert scene, the French confectionery darling has returned for good with a permanent flagship at Basement 1 of Takashimaya Shopping Centre, opening May 13, 2026.

Founded in Paris in 1862, Ladurée built its name on the now-famous double-shell macaron and has since evolved into a luxury pastry and gifting label with boutiques around the world.

Fresh off its teaser pop-up at Ion Orchard back in November 2025, the new 10-seat boutique is going all in – think signature macarons, glossy chocolates, soft serve, fancy drinks and cute pastel merch. The flagship, tucked inside Ngee Ann City’s department store, is also reportedly Ladurée’s big statement return after shuttering its former Takashimaya outpost and takeaway counter in 2020.

Naturally, the macarons are still the main characters. Familiar flavours like vanilla, pistachio, rose, raspberry, salted caramel, coffee, lemon, orange blossom, passion fruit and Marie-Antoinette Tea are all making an appearance, while newer flavours like Matcha and the internet-baiting Dubai Chocolate join the party at $4.20 each. Planning to gift? Boxes come in six-piece ($25), 12-piece ($46), 40-piece ($148) and 54 pieces for $188. Expect seasonal and limited-edition flavours to rotate through the year too.

But there’s a newer pretty face in town: Eugénie, introduced in 2023 by executive pastry chef Julien Alvarez, is a crisp gluten-free biscuit with a soft centre, wrapped in a whisper-thin chocolate shell. Flavours include pistachio, rose, hazelnut, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, while coconut, matcha and peanut are making their Singapore debut here ($4 each). They’re also available in six-piece ($23.80), 12-piece ($45) and 18-piece ($66.80) boxes.

Drinks-wise, coffee lovers can expect speciality brews made with 100 per cent Arabica beans carrying notes of dark chocolate, toffee and almond butter – from espresso ($3.80) and long black ($5.80) to lattes, cappuccinos and flat whites ($7). If caffeine isn’t your thing, there’s the signature hot chocolate ($9.80), made with 67 per cent Valrhona chocolate and French milk, alongside teas like Marie-Antoinette (rose, citrus and honey), Mélange Ladurée (citrus, florals, spice and vanilla) and Roi Soleil (bergamot, rhubarb and caramel), priced at $6.80 each.

And not forgetting their soft serve too – choose between vanilla or ceremonial-grade Kyoto matcha from $8.80.

The boutique is also stocked with merch, from branded tote bags ($25 to $55), keyrings ($68) and notebooks ($23) to pouches ($25), travel mugs ($28) and thermos bottles ($38), all dipped in the brand’s signature mint-green and blush-pink palette.
