As it seems, the White Rabbit candy is the latest fad to hit the town, We’ve seen it as ice cream and soft serve, and reimagined many times as milk tea in night markets across town. Now, the official White Rabbit brand has a pop-up in the Central Business District area serving bubble tea versions of its iconic creamy sweet.

Located at the Singapore Conference Hall in the CBD, the milk truck sells two variants: White Rabbit Milk ($5) with konjac jelly pearls, and the Creamy Cloud White Rabbit Milk ($6.50) that comes topped with French whipped cream. There are also rice milk alternatives for both drinks, available at the same price.

We tried the White Rabbit Milk, which sadly does not come with the quintessential rice paper that comes with the sweet. What it does have is the same creaminess as the candy, and a very, very sweet milk base with hints of vanilla. At $5, there are probably better bubble tea options out there, but the drink is banking on nostalgia to get you in line. Note that the store is located outdoors (read: no shelter), so you either have to deal with the sweltering heat or pouring rain while queuing.

Beyond the milky treats, the small pop-up also stocks a small collection of White Rabbit merchandise that includes pouches ($30), t-shirts ($25), and even shower gel ($15) for extreme fans.

And before you head down, do check out its Facebook page – the store frequently closes early once stocks run out. As of now, it is also choosing to remain coy about its final day of operation. So head down if you’re truly a fan looking, or just simply wait for the next pasar malam – chances are there will be a stall or two selling the same drink there too.
