If there's one thing we really miss, it's enjoying live music with friends and family. And we're coming in hot with good news: Singapore Symphony Orchestra's (SSO) beloved free community concerts are making a comeback this March!

Mark your calendars, because this year's programme kicks off with the first concert on March 19 (at 12.30pm) and March 21 (at 4pm) at Victoria Concert Hall, SSO's home since 1980. Both concerts will be conducted by associate conductor Joshua Tan and will include performances of works by Grieg and Tchaikovsky. If you're planning to go, remember to book tickets beforehand as there are only 150 tickets available for each performance. Registration will open on March 5 at 10am.

And of course, we're not forgetting the little ones. In May, SSO's beloved 'Concerts for Children' series will be making its much-anticipated debut online on May 29, with programmes designed for youngsters and adapted from a local storybook: ‘Saturday’s Surprisingly Super-Duper Lesson’

The online show tells the story of Aish, who's in a classroom doing a maths problem when her doodles come to life. This specially tailored concert will introduce children to classical music through storytelling, keeping them engaged with narration, illustration, animation and music performed by the SSO. Recommended for children aged 4 and above. Tickets will be available at the early-bird price of $15 from 10 am on March 17 to 10am on March 20, and $20 thereafter.
