Founder Chong Sze Wen says the space gives the TCG community a home to connect, share their passion, and make friends

Pokémon trading cards are all the hype these days. And if you’re a fellow collector itching to catch ’em all right here in Singapore, consider that itch scratched: local trading card store Rowell TCG presents the nation’s first Pokémon TCG Gym Deluxe at *Scape, with its doors opened on January 18, 2026.
This isn’t just a store – besides being able to shop for official merchandise, fans can also flip through trading cards, and try their luck at Pokémon Mezastar machines. The store also welcomes visitors to participate in beginner-friendly TCG workshops, engage in Pokémon Gym Battles, and experience firsthand the community that Rowell TCG is cultivating. Beyond the opening, the store will host weekly gym battles and monthly in-house tournaments.
Rowell TCG started out as a humble video rental shop and has since grown into a full-blown hub for trading card fans. Its new *Scape location has plans to take things up a notch – bringing retail, gameplay, and card game battles all under one roof.
Founder Chong Sze Wen says the space is designed to give the TCG community a proper home where they can connect, share their passion, and make new friends.
