McDonald's brings back some favourites as the popular Nasi Lemak Burger returns to the menu on April 25. Last year when the burger was released, it sold out within two weeks islandwide before making a comeback in the following month. Who knew that an all-time local favourite dish interpreted to a McDonald's burger would be a hot-selling item on the menu?

The burger will be made with the same recipe and feature a coconut-flavoured chicken thigh coated in a cornflake crust topped with a fried egg, caramelised onions and not forgetting the sweet-spicy sambal. If you didn't manage to sample the burger when it made its debut (and dying to try it), you'll get your chance now from $6.20  or in an Extra Value Meal from $8.

The Nasi Lemak Burger is not the only one making its return. Other locally inspired snacks like the gooey and comforting banana pie (from $1.40), the Chendol McFlurry (from $3.10) which is a creamy mix of gula melaka, vanilla soft-serve and chewy green jelly bits, and the simple Chendol Soft Serve (from $1) for a gula melaka hit will also star alongside the burger on the menu.
